Matthew Matt James is a North Carolina native born on 5 December, 1991. His parents are Manny James and Patty James. His mother was caucasian and his father Nigerian. James graduated in 2010 at Sanderson High School. In 2015, he earned the Bachelor of Economics degree at Wake Forest University. James was first known by his character on the reality show's Bachelorette's star. James was chosen in the year 2020 to be the season's 25th bachelor on The Bachelor, becoming the first African American lead. The season premiered in on the 20th of January in. James was the best selection for the role because he's well-rounded tall, athletic and has a good sense of humor. Rachael Krukconnell turned into his love interest at the conclusion of the season. In 2021, he joined forces with famous dancer Arnold to compete in the 30th season of Dancing with the Stars. James as well as Arnold placed 12th.
